Inward Strategic Consulting To Target Minnesota-Based Businesses With Innovative Branding, Change Management Approach Minneapolis, Sept. 10, 2002 - Because Minnesota is home to so many growing and changing businesses, Inward Strategic Consulting, a national branding, change management communications and team alignment consulting firm based in Boston, Mass., announced today that it is opening its Twin Cities offices. Kathy Nottingham, formerly marketing director for Supply Chain Solutions at Pitney Bowes Inc., has been named managing director to run the Minnesota initiative. "Today's volatile economy is creating continuous change within organizations. Mergers, acquisitions, leadership changes, downsizing, and restructuring create the need for businesses to reposition, and reinforce their brands," said Allan Steinmetz, CEO of Inward Strategic Consulting. "At Inward, we specialize in change management and branding from the inside out. Our approach is to gain leadership alignment around a shared vision, validate it with market research, and then inspire every person in the company to live the brand values. According to Steinmetz, the Twin Cities represents a significant market for Inward consulting services with its strong base of leading technology corporations and major retailers, as well as the many startup enterprises that are continually forced to deal with marketplace change. "We are thrilled to open this market to our unique approach and to have the effort led by Kathy Nottingham, who has extensive experience leading marketing, branding and post-merger integration programs at major organizations such as Pitney Bowes, SGI and Cray Research," he said. Nottingham will be responsible for business development, client relationship management, as well as providing all Inward Strategic Consulting services including its unique Inward Marketing change management communications solutions, Dialogue Marketing external branding/planning service, Visioneering team alignment services, as well as Inward's full service market research capabilities throughout the state. Nottingham, a Minnesota native, most recently served as marketing director at Pitney Bowes Distribution Solutions where she led Pitney Bowes market entry into supply chain software business. From 1996 to 1999 Nottingham served as Director of Software Marketing for SGI in its Servers and Supercomputers division, where she was instrumental in leading the post-merger integration and development of a joint software technology roadmap after the SGI/Cray Research merger in 1996. Prior, she served in a wide range of marketing and technical roles for Cray Research from 1985 to 1996.
