Allan J. Steinmetz
Allan Steinmetz is the CEO and founder of Inward Strategic Consulting. The firm was established in 1999 to provide a fresh approach to strategic branding and large scale change management and experiential communications that changes behavior and enrolls employees to embrace the change initiative. The firm uses robust and rigorous proprietary methodologies that ensure success for corporate initiatives such as strategic redirection, post merger integration and ERP implementation, just to name a few.

Mr. Steinmetz has over 24 years experience in strategy, marketing management, and advertising and communications, having worked for some of the world's most respected advertising and management consulting firms. Prior to establishing Inward Strategic Consulting, he was a Senior Vice President and Corporate Director of Marketing for Arthur D. Little one of the world's leading management and technology consulting firms, where he was responsible for the firm's brand identity and positioning, business development, strategic awareness, lead generation, advertising, and communications. He was also a member of the firm's senior leadership management team.

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little in late 1993, he was the Worldwide Director of Marketing and Communications for Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, at its headquarters in Chicago. He was responsible for Andersen's successful drive into integrated communications as well as its highly successful advertising program.

Prior to joining Andersen Consulting, Mr. Steinmetz was a Senior Vice President with Young & Rubicam, where he had a variety of responsibilities over a span of ten years. Earlier he served as worldwide Director of Marketing for Cato-Johnson, now a part of Imperic; Director of New Business Development for Y&R Detroit; Director of Marketing and Research on the Ford and Lincoln-Mercury accounts; and Acting General Manager of the Chicago office of Cato-Johnson.

He received his undergraduate degree in Marketing from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a graduate degree in Communications and Advertising from the University of Illinois. In addition, he taught marketing and communications courses for 14 years at Central Michigan University at their Institute for Career Development.

At present, he serves on the board of directors for BrandDirect Marketing and on the marketing advisory board for the United States Postal Service. He previously served as board member to Bertucci's Restaurants until April 1998 when the company was sold.

He now lives in Newton, MA, with his wife and three sons. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and community charity work.
